Finale App?

I just wanna know am I the only arranger out there who would think their life would shut down if there was a Finale app. I think I would lose touch with the world cuz my eyes would CONSTANTLY be glued to my iPhone or I would go buy an iPad the next day after it would be announced. Can u send the apple people a letter and request that?? lol

  • Wow, that would be crazy!!!
  • finale cool but it aint nothing like a pencil and a pad...makes me feel one with the arrangement lol
    • Yeah u right. Finale is also becoming a crutch to most people. Hell, half of these fools probably can't even transpose fluently or at all without a computer. But most of the times these day if u trying to actually get something played and passed out handwritten ain't gone cut it......
  • Just a matter of time. N with the touch screen now n high demand..mayb they will add sum features that allows one to draw n notation n the program recognizes it. I kno the developers of Finale hav done wrk n trials with the NSU music dept n the past. if they cme by again...ill b the first to bring this up.
  • I thought about this.. but the phone is too small to really do a great job of it.. the tablets though..
  • Damn son yall are behind the power curve.

  • Well...I started a long time ago before Finale or others were popular in our circle.  When I did before to use it, it was mainly to give my arrangements a better look.  The arrangement is already done on staff paper before entering the notes into Finale.

I've started learning Sibelius because it's sorta a part of Protools now. I also hated that Finale always changed its basic functions with each upgrade. Bugged the help out of me to relearn it each time. But I never rely on notation programs to help me do arrangements.
