Man i wish football season in New Orleans could get back to how it was before the hurricane when Thur to Sat you would have a game to go to because the bands from both schools was coming out.  Now you have to guess if the bands are coming to some games.  Before that dam hurricane bands would be at every game after the jamboree.  Now its like why go to some games only one band or no band going be at the game. MAN I MISS THEM OLD FOOTBALL SEASON IN DA N.O.

  • @uptown Thats not entirely true. In the mid to late 90's Kennedy wouldn't come out until the St. Aug game and that game was usually about three games into the season after the jamboree. I believe 35 was the same way. The funny thing is "The K" and "35" practiced almost the entire summer, while St. Aug began practice two weeks before school started and was somehow still the measuring stick. LOL! All of them would be at the JAM observing St. Aug to scope out what the competition would be like that year. Sometimes some of the smaller bands would come out (i.e. Douglass, ABE, etc.), but the bigger bands usually waited  until about two games after the JAM. However, it may be depended on which era you're talking about, because don't know much about when bands showed up at the 1st game after I graduated in 98.
