let me tell you high schoolers something if you want a deeper pitch for your tenors drums get the remo controlled black dot if its higher louder pitch get the ludwig heavy silver dot but i personally think the clear remo pinstripe has better tone than both of them.
ray fransens in kenner new orleans sells just the dots by themselves. its made of the same material as the drumhead itself with an adhesive back. we used to go as far as going to solar tech in new orleans ( a tint shop) and have them make colored dots for us LOL
