Damn u went throwback with these vids! I can tell Southern and Jackson State got some influences from these vids expecially Jackson State with the Tiger Run on. These old school drills look better than this past season drills from bands.
I'm lost, I don't get what this topic is about! The only collegiate band i can think of that does maneuvers like these high school bands with the exception of Bossier High School is Texas A&M's band and they have been around much longer than these bands posted! P.S bruh, many bands used a precision drill booklet entitled Patterns In Motion b Bill Moffit so don't be shock that many bands did step two patters and other marching fundamentals similar!
but to this topic......all the high schools that you picked out.....mainly the TX bands.....those are ALL Military bands......granted that.....you are just pin pointing the basic fundamentals of 8 to 5 marching..........we all had to get that from somewhere

the Longview band was good......lol im here now LMAO...
For those of you who claim to be "original"... This is for YOU!
Been itching to post this. NAH! This isn’t directed towards any school in particular, which is why I am posting it anonymously. That way no sides are…
POINT IS! How some that dont see the point claim to have originated the stuff your band does. Your directors got it from other bands and put a little this and that in it now yall want to call it something original and claim how other are copying your so called "style." But it doesnt make it original as one may claim. The videos posted are VERY similar to the "original" 8 to 5 drill "some" people base their originality on.
