Ok if you take SWD,Stephenson,MLK,Redan and Miller Grove and put them in a battle against St Aug, O.P Walker, St. Martinsville, Warren Easton and Carroll. Who do you think would come out on top??? Please watch the vids ecspecially if you dont know how one of the bands sound. And be honest people.

Keep in mind when I say who would come out on top I mean as far as musicianship, tone, articulation of notes, etc.?

what he's saying is that they aren't the caliber that they were way back when. no offense to the N.O. schools, but compare them pre-katrina and post-katrina.....heck compare them pre-millennium and post-millennium....big difference

You guys from Atlanta sure have been trying to establish challenges to other cities lately. I think its a low blow. Nationwide, minority music programs have taken a blow. Houston was hit hard almost 10 years ago, but New Orleans is now feeling the effects. We all know ATL has the best bands because you are the only city with funding for your minority music programs. What you guys need to do is spread the word about how you keep your programs thriving instead of calling out other cities. Otherwise this trend is going to continue and ATL will be the only city with minority band programs.

ATL bands are on a downfall too. i mean look at redan this season. theyre tiny. swd has been slowly getting smaller along with stephenson and mlk. miller grove has always been small.
