THE GREATER HOUSTON ALL STAR BAND INC. ANNOUNCES SUMMER CAMP 2011
Our Summer Band Camp will begin on June 6th - June 27th (Monday- Friday 6pm until 10pm) on the main campus of the University of Houston.
Our Performance Schedule will include the Nike Bayou Bowl Game on June 11th, the Austin, TX Juneteenth Parades and BOTB on June 18th, and the much anticipated Southwest All Star Band Performance and College Tour to Arizona ,New Mexico, and California June 20 - 25 featuring 5 of the nations best All Star Bands.
Our guest artistic directors will include visiting professors from Prairie View A& M University, Southern University, and the University of Houston with opportunities for private lessons for percussionist and instrumentalist...and team leadership for future section leaders and drummajors.

The band has experienced consistent growth since its inaugural year of 2001- 2011, servicing over 2,000 students. The band performs at public and private events such as the nationally televised Baytown All-Star High School Football Game, the National Congressional Black Caucus, Houston's Miller Outdoor Theater, the Louisiana All Star Band Challenge (Baton Rouge, Louisiana), the Woodlands’ 4th of July Band Competition, the Houston All Star High School Football Game (televised by FOX Sports Network), and the Juneteenth-Alvin Patterson Battle of the Bands in Austin, Texas.

Final Camp Details
Hope to see everyone THIS Monday (June 6th, from 6pm until 10pm) at the University Of Houston - School of Theatre & Dance ( Entrance 16 on Cullen Blvd).
This year's special guest clinicians will be Nathan Haymer of the Southern Univeristy "Human Juke Box", Mark Gordon of the Prairie View A & M University "Marching Storm", Dance Instructor Ms. Jermany, Dewayne Cook of Alvin Ailey II and a host of middle and high school band directors and auxillary sponsors.
Please be prepared for practice by wearing white T-shirts, athletic shorts or pants, athletic shoes, bring your instruments, drum sticks, and straps.
