Eff tryin to find a school by how good it's band is. You can't get a degree in band. Howard is a good school but a poo band. FAMU has a good school and band.
HUs band isn't that bad. Their pretty good and entertaining, improving every year. Ill choose HU based on school and local entertainment like clubs and such all avalible by metro transit.
Audition for both schools, If you even get a chance visit both schools. I know here at FAMU they're doing alot of renovations on campus and the band is always looking for great musicians.
I say do go for both. HU's academics may be better but that does not mean FAMU's is bad. Not the least bit. We all know FAMU has a great band and HU isn't bad. I say try to audition at both schools..
