HBCU bands vs DCI : A national arguement that will never end.....

The CBS video of the JSU vs TXSU game from 2005 has over 1 million hits. I have been reading most of the over 1600 comments on this one 2 mins video. I have never read so much negativity about music in my life. It would be different if people were comparing HBCUs to PWCs but no we get compared to DCI. I have been to several DCI events and i dont run into this type of negativity about HBCU bands.I have commented a few times but these dumb folks just dont get it. So how do you all feel about this?

    The way CBS edited the clip made it look ignorant as hell. They took the worst aspects of that performance and put them together. It really wasn't even about their playing ability, but about the unruly antics that took place. People who know nothing about HBCU's would see this video as coonery at its best.smh. Of all of the decades of good performances they could have used, they chose to make a mockery of that band instead. I'm not the biggest fan of JSU, but that video was just unfair. I'm not trying to make excuses for some of the foolishness displayed in this clip but, how are u showcasing a marching band and barely show any of the actual performance. As for the show style/DCI comparisons, there should be no comparison. Those styles cater to two totally different crowds. Anyway...a lot of these recent topics have been giving me the feeling of deja vu.....strange.....
