I've heard of it and support it wholeheartedly. Any spotlight that helps HBCU players get a look to go to the next level i support it. One of my nephews are playing in the game so i will be there. The band battle should nice since both bands have improved and haven't met up in some years. Should be an interesting one.

i'm tryin to make this game if i can convince my wife to go to anniston when we land in bham instead of fayette. If i can't make it any footage is appreciated.

I haven't heard any advertising or mention of it the whole season. You would think that HBCU would be (or Russell would be) pubbing the event at major HBCU's throughout the season.

Do the bands perform during the game or just during the Halftime Shows?

i heard during the game as well as halftime in the other thread no real conformation though. yea someone really dropped the ball on advertising but its just the first.

The World Famed is repping the West and MMH is repping the East. Stands and Halftime. Russell's it the main sponsor.

you would think they would be advertising it alot maybe they are in ATL but its a good event...when it was in montgomery last year they had the NFL combine there like wed and thurs so its good exposure for the players but if they want the ticket sales to go up they need to do more advertising

yea ive heard of it but i heard that suppose to be the "new" swac championship game but it suppose to be MEAC against SWAC..(unless thats the Southern Heritage Bowl)

The Question though is Why are 2 SWAC Schools representing the West and the East? I guess you'd think they'd pick schools from 2 different conferences. At least a SWAC School and a MEAC School or something. This is an event where they'd probably need people to legitimately vote on what bands should be performing, lol.
