  • For what school and where is a possible location?
  • 1. If you want 2000+ people, it depends on the schools attending.
    2. It has to be somewhere where there's a nice band community.
3.Bandhead and the Radio will probably promote the best.
    4. It's going to take a lot of money.
  • Lets go down the list of things you need first

    Needs:
    1. LOCATION:
depending on who you are inviting. you need to choose a central location that would maximize attendance.

    2.SPONSORS
start looking for some sponsors from now. no money = no botb

As for attendance, you have to advertise. But dont start advertising now. It would be entirely too early. You need to start advertising maybe 3 weeks before. You will also need the invited bands help in advertising. If they dont get the word out to their school and to people in the community it wont go well.

    start from there
  • And for the love of GOD:

DO NOT POST A BUNCH OF BANDS THAT YOU HAVEN'T EVEN TALKED TO FOR THE SAKE OF CREATING A BUZZ!!!!!!

Then you get there and it's two bands, the parents that dropped them off, and a band groupie from someone's geometry class...smh...

Early and consistent communication will help to take care of that, though...
  • Ima be real with you,..

If its your schools first BOTB,.
You not gone see 2000+ people,.
You gotta build alot of Rep over the years,.

    But You might get lucky,...
  • Thank You all for everybody's opinion

  • Goodluck man, I just don't think you will pull 2000 on your first BOTB, in Virginia. But hey, I could be wrong. Again, goodluck.
  • Its not a school hosting the Botb, is a organization

High School Battle Of The Bands
Im thinking about doing a hs botb later this year. I know some help. How do i promote this botb so that 2000+ people will come up ****BE NICE****
  • Also...

Have some flexible dates, in case the weather is bad on the first one.

Pre-sale tickets help to pay bills, even if no bands or spectators show up. But people that buy pre-sale usually do come out, and they'll bring friends.
