This is a spinoff of the Honda attendance topic on the 5th quarter website. I do believe the Honda can be succesful it we move it to different cities like the Superbowl. Choose cities that are HBCU friendly have a sizeable black population. Keep the current selection process but to add some flavor the host state/region sends one or two bands automatically. That way you pull in more fans to come and support the home state/region bands. People also would not get burned out if they knew it was there only chance to make it to the the event. You could also get cities to put in bids to host the event. That way the event could ultimately get more money and do more.2009-Atlanta (Clark Atlanta, Morehouse)2010-Houston (Prairie View, Texas Southern)2011-Wash DC (Howard, Hampton)2012-Orlando (BCC, FAMU)2013-New Orleans (Southern, Grambling)2014-Atlanta (.....,.......)2015-Dallas (Pine Bluff, Texas College)2016-Miami (FAMU, Ed Waters)2017-New Orleans (Southern, Jackson State)I think you all get the concept. But I think this format would really add some appeal to the event. One proposal I would make is pushing the date back to limit the impact of Winter Weather. And secondly, would might have to reconsider places lile DC who have open air stadiums. That would leave us with Atlanta, Houston, New Orleans, Dallas, St. Louis, Indianapolis. The Florida cities could work because generally the weather is nice.Thoughts?

thats just to much going on man thats a nice thought doe but gsu and southern name isnt even on the balleds dont see it on there no time soon!!! but each band goes for a reason so but its a good thought doe
I think it's a great idea... What's the difference in traveling to Atlanta one year and traveling to another city the next year? This way would give many others who would ordinarilly not be able to make it an opportunity to go... Also, this way would save some colleges money and even out the expenses through the HBCU community... So lets not get into finances... Because I'm sure if this plan was actually presented to the Honda committee properly then it may actually be deem something to aim for... Not only would it save money for the local schools but also draw attention to local programs and not to mention the city... What city do you know that will turn down some good money???
i know honda got a contract with the falcons atl dome also and it may cost alot more depending on the stadium in each city this will be held at. AND DC IS JANUARY SORRY HELL NAW!!! LOL ST LOUIS JANUARY NOPE INDIANAPOLIS JANUARY NOOO LOL i think the atl or super dome is a good spot cuz of the weather not alot of stadiums are inside yea the astro dome too but the bands sound funny in that dome.

Astrodome? How about Reliant Stadium, you know that has a roof also in which you could close if the weather is bad. Butthe places I mentioned are just examples of how it could be done. Crank session is good also.
