Madison was pretty good last year but If they got a new director whose to say.....
Expect to see more of Sam Houston this year....they sounded good but they had no brass last year....
Davis.....(sigh).....might end up giving boys the business. Last year they were Loud. This year they might sound Good and loud. I witnessed them from a band to being a pretty decent band in a year so if everything is in place for this year then....
I do so want to see Milby, Austin, Davis, (I think I get a chance to see furr and Davis this week) And B.T.W. Galveston Ball Also....

as anyone heard about these three schools and how the bands are lookin this year?

I wish each band the best but honestly Im kind of worried. I went to Eisenhower vs Hightower and the bands werent to the level that they are used to. Eisenhower only had 4 tubas. Whats up with the shrinking band syndrome? I have seen 9th graders dropping like flies after only 2 days of band practice.
NEWAY besides that
Sam Houston has the ideal setup for any band in Houston: 3 middle schools with thriving band programs. The problem is that the kids get to high school and decide that going home and having a girlfirned or boyfriend is more important than doing something positive with their time.
Davis has a good setup also but same thing with 9th graders. Madison I havent heard much but heard the new band director is pretty good.
