Lol everyone probably still hadn't made it home when u post this, give them a minute to recuperate. Id like to know how it went, n I'm sure drumaster will upload gr8 footage as ALWAYS.
I like Davis' cymbal section. Yates had the overall strongest percussion section that night. Davis had the fuller, cleaner sound. No one section drowned out the other. There was a relatively consistent blended tone throughout the entire band I think every band that night had strong low brass, mainly in the tuba sections...
FYI - I was hired and paid to film the event Jeff Davis Head Band director owns the footage now... All rights go to
Sam Jackson Director of bands at Jeff Davis...so if you want a copy of the DVD contact him... I did ask him could i atleast make a High Light Clip he said yes, so thats what im working on now...
i have to disagree with the tuba comment because i was standing right behind Yates tubas and it was like they weren't even playing...same thing for Jones.. but Davis and Milby were on Point..........i like the 5th ward special we got a the end (Davis and Wheatley combining) ..Yates did have the strongest D-Line but Davis cymbals were the truth.. Jones section will be straight when they work all the kinks(attitudes) out

Milby and Davis went at it.
