This is very sad and angers me to see that school may not fund the band (arts) as it should. This is such an illustrious institution with such a rich history. You'd think they'd take more pride in their band program and get them the adequate help they so desperately need.
As for the ladies. I'm glad to see that they've toned it down in the stands and took away that bounce they used to do. Now, just have the girls clean up and learn the counts and they'd be pretty good.
Where is the alumni to raise cane about the music program?
Thats the same thing I'm saying. I know they protested at one point in time but I guess nothing came of that?
I have no idea why Howard would not fund this program properly. Sad to say but Students in DC dont even have Howard on their Radar anymore, Eastern HS alone send their kids to Southern, A&T,JSU, BCU,Famu and NOrfolk.. that program use to Feed Howard like crazy. But then again, when was the last time Howard ever participated at Local High schools band competitions? Drumline, Band, or Aux? or even a Parade (DC's Funk Parade is almost like Mardi Gras..
