IF THERE WAS NO BOOMBOX CLASSIC...

If there was no boombox classic...how would that affect the swac?? would it affect the swac?? what would be the next big matchup?? and is the boombox classic "better"..than the bayou classic??

    techincally there is NO boombox CLASSIC....thats just a nickname given to the match-up.

     

    No its not...band wise definitely, but this match-up is just a HUGE rivalry. the bayou classic dates back wayyyy back when and has deeper roots, being that they are both from LA. This match-up is better than the Capital City Classic, but still it isn't better.

    Bandwise yes but Bayou as a whole is smashing this. And if there was no boombox nothin would replace it. Other than bayou this game draws in the most bandheads from schools not associated with either band.

    Personally to me JSU vs. SU brings a larger crowd in and both bands are on there A game. For the Bayou its good but while watching it, it will start to decrease. For BOB in Bayou GSU tries to much and SU just keep on keeping on. So to me the JSU vs. SU is worth watching than the Bayou cause the attendance for the Bayou is slowly decreasing. Also I would rather watch the Florida Classic than the Bayou cause it is more intense. This is just coming from me.

    I think if JSU didn't play scotlandville there would be no real affect on the SWAC. Everybody would continue to do their thing. As far as if the Boombox is better than the Bayou Classic, after growing up around both, I will say the only thing that the Bayou Classic have over the Boombox is the venue. New Orleans is keeping that "rivalry" alive. If it were played anywhere else attendance would drop. Drastically. No matter where you put the Boombox people will travel. Overall the Boombox is more of a HEATED band rivalry and both bands will bring their A game. EVERY TIME. It goes back and forth and each year can and will be debated...Besides the assault and battery charges that were filed against the Boom by scotlandville this year..NO debate necessary.
