I don't know where ya people took ya or what in particular you are trying to hear, but you can follow the link I posted from nola.com to see whats going down this weekend musically.
BR can be an hour to an hour and 45 minutes depending on how you drive and traffic but recently the police sit on the interstate for the majority of the way down I-10 between kenner and blue bayou during the day at night it is not a problem, its homecoming weekend on the yard.
You can hit up the Walker and Karr game across the river at Berhman. Should be a good one. If you need direction, pm me and give me your # and I'll call you. On Thursday nights, Soul Rebels paly at La Bon Temps on magazine. Starts around 11 pm.
let me rephrase this the police sit on the interstate right when you get out of kenner in st charles and st john parish and you might see 1 after that when you get off the bridge. coming back from baton rouge shouldn't be a problem you can probably make it back to New Orleans in 45 minutes to an hour!!!
