Istrouma High Concert Band off to perform at Universal Studios

The Istrouma High concert band is please to announce that on this thursday we will be departing to Orlando Florida to perform at the Universal Studios concert band band festival. The band has been working very hard and is excited about this great oppurtunity to represent both Louisiana and Baton Rouge in a major way. Thanks to everyone who helped support our efforts.

    It's sad how we are always quick to bash and belittle a program and its musicians when they aren't doing well and have a topic go 12 pages about who blew who out, but when a topic is posted about a program that's doing some good things and making strides in a positive direction, no one even gives it a good look.

     

    Good Luck Istrouma band.  Represent Louisiana and the city of Baton Rouge well...from the Scotlandville family

     

    And from a fellow music educator, we appreciate what you do for the music community Juvon Pollard and you and those Indians keep up the hard work and striving to improve the quality of our great world of music...
