normally i wouldn't even put a comment on here about sections cause it's usually everybody just saying that their school this or that BUT!!! you must be out yo rabbit azz mind if you think that either one of these sections can hold a note with (T PHI P)( TOWER OF POWER )SU'S BONE SECTION,,,boy them boys on something else! and if you ever hear them blow a fanfare then you will know what i am talking about and i mean playing ability and power along with fullness and they have always been like that, and i actually think that jsu finally has a half way decent section but they sound a little thin because you neve hear their third or fourth part being played ,,,for you to put norfolks soft azz t-bone section in there is ludacris

gotta agree with u on that ive always liked JSU bones and b-tones better than all the rest ......i just like the way JSU sounds...i pretty much like all of their sections above all the rest....2's...

now i have hear both of these sections n person n they r the best of the best to ME...Who yall think will win?
JSu bone section is always on point. every year.
cant no other bone section get with them.
(nsu's bone section is talented though. just not like JSU's)

I guess I'll comment on the original question and leave Da "U" out of this...
I think NSU has a little more style and finese but JSU has nice style and way more power....they are very comparable..I guess it really depends on the tune....when JSU has a real nice year those bones usually are real nice....they do pretty good on those ole skool tunes...Mrs. Jones, Golden Time, Garden....but I just recently became aware of NSU and those dudes have a nice sound
Wow ........I like both of my sections and proud to be part of both I think NSU has a lil bit more trombone style but JSU give you more power both are clean so I cant pick the winner well Im a winner cause Im a Horny Horn and S.O.P. LMFAO
