For all of those doubters and nay-sayers, which constently kept pesimistic views, for the future of the SU Jukebox, guess what, all the speculation comes to an end this week......Wednesday April 29, 2009, in the confines of A.W.Mumford the entire Marching Band will be in full affect. This will be a STOP THE VIOLENCE rally held in part for SU drum major Fitzgerald Baptiste, who was shot last month, there will be local BR high school also performing, as well as hip-hop artists that have yet to be named..........Bottom line is everyone in the imediate area should attend this event and if you can find time to travel, please make the trip to not only witness the last perfomance by the 2008 edition of da U, the 1st of '09 but also to support the struggle to stop the war on the streets...........wish I had a time, maybe somebody else do, but i will b4 wednesday..............o yea and, bring the cameras out

just for times like this i needa start listening to the band announcer guy for halftime
Glad to see dude is alright, and glad to see SU will still be in full effect next year.
Many people want SU to lose their band. While I do agree that this senseless hazing needs to stop, no one in a college band should ever want another college band to lose their program. SU brings so much to the table, and it would really be a shame for them to be defunct.
I really hated when Morris Brown shut down. They brought their style to the table also.
i dont think any fellow HBCU bandsmen...especially SWAC bandsmen would want SU, or any other institution to lose their band....
the SIAC still wished MBC was still here....
I don't think anyone wants anything to happen to SU's band! Hell we at Grambling sure wouldn't wish that upon them, we sent Fitz some gifts and respect their program highly! Hell it wouldn't be a Bayou Classic, i don't even want to imagine what that would be like! Do It Big Jukebox!
