KENNEDY VS WALKER

I take nothing away from walker at all sometimes they fieldshows are not so good

but i just wish ppl stop trying make them out to be the new kennedy

walker have power yes i give them that kennedy had power and was clean

walker is not clean half of the time

me myself i feel cant none of walker bands can mess with any of kennedy bands at all!!!  

WHAT DO YALL THINK!!!!

    Good topic, well people are just like that for some reason. Let walker be walker and let Kennedy's legacy live on. There will never be another Kennedy from n.o. I GUESS since walker where white shoes, have a bell player like the k had and is one of the best on the city gettin up there with the 100, some people say they like the old Kennedy, lol. NEGATIVE NO!. LMAO MAN I REMEMBER IN LIKE 2009 PEOPLE WAS CLAIMING KARR AS THE NEW KENNEDY....LIKE YALL SAY IN N.O. "JTFO'

      no one in New Orleans ever concluded that Karr was the new Kennedy. I believe it was jokes about calling them the new K. not referring to being Kenndey lol. but because of (K)arr/(K)ennedy

    YOU HIT THIS RIGHT ON POINT DUDE DA K HAD POWER AND WAS CLEAN FROM ACROSS THE FIELD WALKER JUST BRING POWER!!!! MOST PPL I FEEL LIKE WALKER IS BECAUSE OF THEY BAND DR. AND I HOPE SOME PPL GET OUT THEY MIND NUMBERS DONT MEAN NOTHING.

      Yea its just true facts man. But people don't wanna hear it. I kno I might step on some people wit this but I'm jus keep it real...when walker and lli went to atl. Omg! Now why am I bringing this up because its a very good example. Everybody and their momma who was at the jamboree knows that walker did not smash lli nor even battled us. But when the clips hit the internet, oh that was it uptown. Walker smashed a allstar band, sounded better yada yada. First of all Lmfao..Second opw only was louder just like they are for parades, football games, etc. To n.o. some bandheads it must be a thing that being "louder" is considered smashing and being louder helps you be better. Lol...I put $$$ that we would march circles around walker "literally". U wanna get at da aug but can't drill?...Drilling is more important that hitting the streets for a parade or sitting up akin da stands at pan, am or tad gormely stadiums. The K did both of those. Had power, control, drilling down.

      On another note: I don't have nothing against walker its just please sweep around your own front door front before your trash talk another band programs.

    The reason these bands don't equal up is because they aren't putting in the Hours and getting things done as we did..

      Just Like my cuz who marched for john mac back in da 90's said like last yea at our fam gathering: "its technology na lil nigga" back then all we had was a cd player,a vhs and a horn or some drumsticks lil dawg. Nowadays yall got da ipad iphones n all that butter shit.(stuff that have little value),lol...Thats all cool n fun n games but u gotta put dem thangs down ya undastand, im jus tryna throw some knowledge to ya cause see da n.o. school system was good to me back in my day, i neva went to class..." LOL..yea big cuz i gotchu, but that makes alot of sense.

    Speaking as someone that has gone up against the great Kennedy bands of the mid to late 90's, it is almost disrespectful to even put the two bands in the same sentence, simply because Walker sounds nothing like them--maybe Carver, but certainly not the 90's Kennedy. However, after Doc retired Kennedy slowly began sounding and looking like everybody else (i.e. no trumpets, all lower brass and mellos, wannabe loud, no fieldshows, can't drill, a strictly stand band.). As I said before, Walker sounds nothing like the Kennedy of the 90's, but when you talk about the 2000's era Kennedy bands thats a different, and I personally think Walker sounds just as good, if not better. Now I don't know if thats something to brag about seeing as Kennedy was on a serious decline, nevertheless it's how I feel. I know some 2000 era Kennedy grads might get mad, but if you disagree, prove me wrong  by posting clips. I'm willing to bet that the performances you post will fall in to these catagories: no trumpets, all lower brass and mellos, wannabe loud, no fieldshows, can't drill, a strictly stand band.
