the TMC family had a moment of silence know that we all prayed for the
family and all of those affected by this.
  • It is a sad day, but we should be joyous. He touched many people while he was here, and was a man of God. The family said his passing was peaceful, and all his loved ones were close-by.

I wasn't his student, but I look up to him the same as those that were in the band under him.

    R.I.P. Mr. Thornton...
  • Really sad to hear this. My prayers go out to the ridge and his family.
  • 09 has been a painful year for music. Prof. Edwards, Michael Jackson and now Mr. Thornton.

Mr. Thornton was one of the thoe directors who helped EVERYBODY. He organized all of the inner city band directors together to plan events, discuss strategies and just be a friend and mentor to us all. He will be greatly missed. Such a great musician and director, most of all he was a great person.

To the Willowridge High School Mighty Eagle Band- i wish you guys the best. You are in my prayers. I urge you to keep that fire burning. You owe it to Mr. Thornton.
