    I heard them Louisiana Allstars something else whoeva they are but motgomery aint nothing to take lightly they always be deep. Only time will tell cant wait to see the outcome :o

    I really don't understand the point of an "all star" band. Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't these kids be marching for their high schools as opposed to forming a mass "state band?" I thought that was why you joined a college band, a mass state band.

    Man, with all the budget cuts going on, we will be lucky if there any programs left standing in a few years. Here in Texas for example, fine arts is taking it's worse hit in years. Middle School and Elementary Band is almost non-existant.

    All-Star bands, if done right, can actually help strengthen these kids musical abilities because of the lack of feeder programs. And it gives them something to do instead of being on the streets, wasting away to nothing and becoming statistics....
