LLI Family,We will have two rehearsals this month: Sunday Dec. 6, 2009 4p.m.- 7 p.m. and the following Sunday Dec. 13, 2009 4 p.m. -7 p.m. During these two rehearsals, members (both old and new) will be introduced to some of the new and upcoming directors from across the state. The agenda for those dates include working on sight-reading, tone development, and learning more about becoming well rounded on your instrument. Saturday and Sunday rehearsals will begin in January after the winter break.Remember:If you are interested in learning more about your craft and strengthening your musical abilities and achieve while building a social networks with students and directors from across the state come join us at Leadership! If you are about clowning around most of the time, part timing rehearsal attendance, and just want to come to be nosy and never return, stay your tail wherever you are now.I have received many emails from students who are concerned about their level of musicianship. To address that issue, know that all the directors consider that many students are student building up on their musicianship. That is why we are there. Leadership will not be just another band program in the city. We all aim to make leadership a well known program that will produce leaders in music, academics, and community. To that end, all that we ask of you (right now) is to be familiar with your instrument (fingerings and staff associated with your instrument) and we will handle the rest, I will be contacting all band directors either by phone or email by this Thursday.See you all Sunday!!!
