So right now I'm at Central Michigan University. I'm in the marching band and several other bands however I'm not a major. My question is this: if I go to a HBCU for graduate studies (not music), would I be able to join the marching band? I'm willing to go through whatever beginning processes.. that doesn't matter to me. I just want to experience everything HBCU Bands have to offer. If I could've started at a HBCU, I obviously would've but I didn't. I'm only a freshman right now anyway, but I'm just wondering for future reference because if not, I will consider transferring now.

If you are enrolled in the University in any capacity Im pretty sure you can march in the band
yes you can, just talk with the band director(s), staff.
Also if there is a HBCU near you and the current school you attend doesn't have a band they may allow you to march as well.
Yep as long as you're an official student of the school, it doesn't matter to them. HBCU bands can be very time consuming, especially your first year.
