The Savannah State University Band program is hosting the 1st Marsh Madness Battle of the Bands on Oct. 1 at T.A. Wright Stadium at 3 p.m. The battle will feature marching bands of SSU, Fort Valley State University, Benedict College, South Carolina State University and Edward Waters College.
Postponed from its original date due to Hurricane Irma evacuations, SSU Director of Bands Marques Graham seeks to make this an uplifting event for the Savannah community, as well as an opportunity to spark an interest in musicianship with today’s youth.
