  • Both bands had issues, all are very fixable through hard work and concentration! Can't hate on neither band and i will give both the benefit of the doubt since it was the first game!
  • Too bad 1-0-Brown's problems wont phase Cookman this week, if they do show up to Municipal Stadium.
  • This sucks!! Tell the Truth!
  • I mean sooooo Bad!! WOW... I cant believe my ears and eyes
  • I have heard better from both bands, i'm not going to go in the deep end like some of the rest of you, that's not my style! Like i said earlier i will give both programs the benefit of the doubt since it was the first game! Now if i listen to the same sounds during the entire football season that's when i will get lethal but the first game, sheesh!
  • They both sound a hot dayum mess and Grambling "World Shame" straight embarassed the SWAC
'They talked all that noise this summer and they sound like pure shyt!
What the phuck were they doing in Band Camp so darn early?
They had more time than any band in the swac to get their shyt together and why do they sound so darn bad?
They sound and look like a Middle school band

Like i said in July, SCSU was an average band and they were going to give gram the business.
    Did i LIE?
  • both had issues in the stands and i use the word had, because, im sure that both bands know their problems and have addressed them at practice this week, which will make for a better showing on saturday....Fieldshow wise...Grambling was much better than SCSU...stand issues, and music needs to be cleaned up and executed better.....I will point this, though, lets all remember back when the JSU video came out with yall sounding not so good, not marching, and having tempo issues, and it was 39 pages of yall being bashed..what was yall comeback...1. it was the first time the upperclassmen and freshman played together, 2. "it's just a practice" 3. We will be ready for the game" 4. "yall just hating",.... Well the issues yall had on that clip were fixed and not an apparent issue last week...and now no one has anything bad to say about the boom...yall gettin praise... All bands have opportunity to improve, its when that opportunity comes and they dont realize it and face is where the problem comes in...Now if it comes to mid season and my alma mater is still sounding like this then a very immediate change must be made...
  • my take

    Round 1 SCST
    Round 2 GSU
    Round 3 SCST
    Round 4 SCST
    Round 5 SCST
    Round 6 either
Round 7 clips cutoff so I can't decide

so imma give this one to SCST 5 1/2 TO GSU's 1 1/2

round 6 was a dry one for both so yall just split that one cause it couldve went either way and round 7 was cut so I discarded it

SCST took this one....ness lol....both bands know what they have to fix and I am sure or hope they will cause this season for both conferences aint no joke....thats all imma say
  • This was, by far, the absolute worst 5thQ I have ever heard or been a witness to.

I wont discuss the many, many negatives of each band in my post, but its definitely gonna be a long season for both those schools...
  • How can you even analyze this "battle" ?!?

The trumpet solo on "Ooh Baby, Baby".......the trumpets on "Cleaning Out My Closet"....."You Can Hate Me Now" in the 5th quarter???

    They BOTH lose....
