I am here to set the record straight and tell it like it is.

Miles College Purple Marching Machine will be back.

It is not currently PMM...unfortunately there have been some setbacks. 

Prof Means, the genius who brought life into a lifeless marching band, retired suddenly.

This hit PMM HARD.

He left when Miles had just appointed this new lady as the Dean.

The school scrambled to get an interim band director right at the beginning of band camp.

They got the choir director!!!!

That was HORRIBLE!

Then they hired this really old man from a high school who has been a band director for like 40 years named DC Crawford.

They said Mr. Crawford was supposed to retire from the high school and just work at Miles.

HE DIDN'T. 

Miles College PMM became JO Number Two...because they same stuff that the man was doing at  his high school, he brought to Miles College.

I sat in the stands and watched PMM die!!!

I watched freshman drum majors with milk behind their ears walk out on the field looking like kids trying to be grown.

This man they got from the high school killed PMM!  He and his staff.

They have a lady who can't dance sponsoring the dance line.  The dance line look like a bunch of men.  The flag girls look better than the dance line.

They have some questionable individuals hanging around. There is a big dude with a bad eye who is a groupie.  A police officer does their field shows.  The students are directing and teaching themselves. It is a hot mess!!!!

And Mr. Crawford doesn't care...he still works at the high school and they are still bringing in all of his kids from his high school.

But PMM is going to come back.

There are people waiting at the door to get in the band and soon as Mr. Crawford leaves.

Most folks in Birmingham don't like JO anyway.  JO has never been all that good.

Ever since they closed my school down and moved them over to JO it has been effed up.

PMM needs another Professor Means...someone who cares about Miles College...not just getting a paycheck.

PMM needs someone who won't throw up in their faces that they are not ASU. 

I have nothing but mad respect for ASU and the SWAC but ASU is ASU and Miles is Miles...We respect them, their alumni should respect us...especially if they work for us.

There have been a lot of folks applying for the job...I want to know when the school is going to make a decision!!!

I believe Miles will be back...I believe that one day, I will see them coming from the sidelines stepping high to Neck again.

The school has plenty of scholarship money for the band.  All they need is a better band director.

I believe that Miles will get rid of those JO folks who don't give a damn about Miles College soon.

Miles will be back!!!

Don't let Mr. Mean's hard work go down the toilet...somebody please hurry up and get rid of Mr. Crawford.
