Thanks for posting, but I have a question. Does it mean that we're not capable of playing at this caliber because it hasn't been posted for the world to see? I'm 99.9% sure (always room for error lol) that there are cats available at various institutions of higher learning in an HBCU setting and otherwise that could do this. The arrangement (with the exception of the trombone part) is not difficult at all and I KNOW there are some heavy hitters on trombone that have serious double-tonguing skills, range AND dexterity. Don't doubt your folk brother... Don't doubt your folk.
BTW Just like DCI... preparing top-notch musical performances is their primary focus (it's the Marine Band for goodness sake), so would they be more likely to pull it together in a shorter time frame? Probably, but is it possible to be accomplished in an academic setting as well? Darn skippy.
This is to the KAT who put this topic up........BRO... are serious..LAMO......if you even come to houston...go to a U.I.L. or corp style comp down here.. amazing.. better yet.. I know some college folks that can play just like this.....heck I'm one of them.....But still some of what you say is true they do have some beat but not all.....here in Texas.... We have plenty of bands that can play at this level.... but I am glad to see that you've broaden your horizon.... ..because some of these young kats on this site just think its all about blowin... Who ever your BD is..you tell him.. he's doing a good job...God bless
