Four men, including two Morgan State University band members and the band's former drum major, have been arrested after a woman said they held her down and sexually assaulted her in a Northeast Baltimore apartment complex. Renard James, 30, Dante Green, 24, Dale Lawton, 23, and Howard Smith Cook, 21, were each arrested July 12 and charged with eight counts of sex offense, assault, perverted practice and conspiracy charges. They are being held without bail. According to court records, the alleged assault took place June 30 in the 6500 block of McClean Blvd., in Cook's apartment in the Hamilton Hills neighborhood. The victim told police that the men forcibly removed her pants and held her down, performing sex acts on her. She said she was bitten on the breast, face and vaginal areas, according to court records.

I really don't understand why stuff like this makes this "BAND" site....its not as if the "BAND" got together and said they were gonna rape someone...this was the action of two "Individual citizens" who just so happen to be in a band somewhere...

but these individuals, more than likely, because of some of the large age gaps, know each other THROUGH the band..thats why I feel the band was mentioned...their crimes, if this isnt their first one, could have started while they were still in the band...we dont know that..

if you are or were a band student, everything you do, whether it be good or bad is going to get your band and your school's name in the headlines...that makes it a band issue

If the band was not involved, they should not be brought up...period!!! The band did nothing...individual people did something that, which makes it even more ridiculous, wasn't band related or on band facilities....the band part is irrelevant
