The HBCU hand community has lost a true Legend
I was informed via Text by Marchingsport.com's G. Howard of his passing also urrently posted all over facebook. The cause is currently unknown.. it's sad day in HBCU band history.
My condolences to his family, as well as to the Juman Jukebox and all who have had the opportunity to be a student of him.
Rest In Peace Mr. Carnell Knighten and Thanks for your Influence & contribution to the band community.

I think everybody's in shock over this one. It feels strange to have to go through and get a photo to put up.
