NC A&T Football Schedule 2009

GREENSBORO, February 17, 2009 – North Carolina A&T‘s director of athletics Wheeler Brown announced today the release of the Aggies 2009 football schedule. The schedule includes a change in the Aggies homecoming date. The Aggies original homecoming date of Oct. 10 has been changed to Oct. 31 with Bethune-Cookman being the Homecoming ’09 opponent.“I’m excited about this schedule,’’ said Brown. “With the announcement of our new coach, after signing some outstanding talent this month and now that we know our schedule, we can’t wait to get going. We’re looking for 2009 to be the start of something big for Aggies football.”Under first-year coach Alonzo Lee, the Aggies still have their two arch-rivals on the schedule in Winston-Salem State and N.C. Central. N.C. A&T opens the 2009 season at Winston-Salem State on Sept. 5. Four weeks later, the N.C. Central returns to Aggie Stadium to renew its 85-year rivalry with N.C. A&T.The Aggies remaining home games are Sept. 12 and 19 against Norfolk State and Hampton respectively. The home finale will be Nov. 14 against Delaware State. Away from Aggie Stadium, the Aggies will make their first-ever trip to Conway, S.C., to face Coastal Carolina on Sept. 26.On Oct. 10, Lee will face his former defense when the Aggies head to Baltimore to play Morgan State. Two weeks later, the Aggies return to the metropolitan area to face Howard. The Aggies also travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to play Florida A&M on Nov. 7. The Aggies play away from home against S.C. State on Nov. 21.
