Has your school picked leadership positions for the 2009-2010 school year (DM, section leaders, band captain/student director, officers, etc.)?If so, who are they, and what do you expect from them this year?

I have almost the same section leaders from last year except for the drumline and tuba section. My last tuba section leader destroyed the section.
As far as drum major, I have in mind who I want but Im training them in secret to become ruthless and even better than the last one. too many people want to be drum major for the wrong reasons. The think drum major is just a person who dances and shows off but its more than that. Hell, anybody can shake they azz to some music. But drum majors got to be that glue that holds the band together. Next year Im focusing on UIL more than anything else.
Really i dnt even kno... That reason is because Lamarque's band director is kickin everyone out da band 4 no reason and that is makin no sense 2 me @ all.... so if they do i will make sure to keep in touch with you.
Well, we have not picked anyone yet, for DM or and leadership position and I'm not surprised.If things are still ran the same next year, we will not have a band. We had "aduitions" and next year, it will only be percussion for the beging of the year. Hopefully, we will have better leadership than before.
Well Greeville Weston Band Program Camps have started. So far we are having Drummajor Try outs Camp, New Members Camp, Auxillary Camp, Percussion Camp. Our band camp will be on July 21st through August 1st. We already know who the band captain and section leaders are but will know by July 21st who will be drummajor , if not the Band Captains will have everythin under control.
Leadership postions and ect are still the same, and for those who didnt take care of thier buisness while having power already know what the deal is. And I am going to need all La Marque High School students to keep off the website with personal buisness, that does not look good on your behalf or the bands.
