    Young Knight, I must say, you guys have a really good sounding band this year, and a very tight T-bone section. It makes me proud to be a Knight. However, we (Purple Knights) have never been a band that fishes for compliments. If you know you got the best T-bone section in the city, then there is no need to ask questions. In fact, back in the day St. Aug cats use to walk around with their chest poked out, giving off a hint of arrogance simply because they knew, without validation, that they were the best. Let the horns ask the question and the people will respond.

    c i wasnt alive wen u were playin so i hav a question. i kno st aug waz good(been good) but were yall lik so far from all otha bands?waz nobody touchin yall? kennedy? fortier? carver?

    LOL! It wasn't so much about us being that much better than the other bands, because in the 90's Kennedy was arguably better. That was also the case with St. Aug vs John Mac in the early 80's, and 35 and Fortier in the late 80's. However, it was our mindset that set us apart from the rest--we knew we were the band to beat. We also knew that we were the band everybody wanted a piece of. St. Aug was the only band in the N.O. to remain consistently good for over 4 decades, which was something that we took pride in and still take pride in today.
