This is to those students who participate in a band but always skip practice or make excuses.Some of you guys have mad talent but you do not contribute to your section. When things dont go your way you storm out of our bandrooms with an attitude and come back when you feel like it. You ask to leave early all of the time and mess up at competitions. Then you want to come back and ask for favors from the Drum Majors and Band Director. Because you are not the one in charge of your section you want to move around.Think about it for a second: Your fellow band members laugh at you because you are always making mistakes. You cant learn a part because you skipped practice making excuses. You get embarassed at a performance and want to get mad at the director.No Wonder You Get No Respect..............If you were offended by this, Good. You should feel like crap for being sorry and unproductive in your band program. Straighten up or move the hell on.If nothing in this fits you then thank you for being a part of this Universal Entity called Band. Keep it Up

lol, I feel you bruh. Some of them are really good, but some of them are just sorry in general because they only want to march, but when it comes time to pick up the concert band music, they nowhere to be found.
Band is NOT some B.S. after-school program. If you want to come and go without being told something, join the Drama Club or something.
Bands don't work unless EVERYONE is pulling their weight, then looks out for the person on the side of them. I have a section leader I'm wondering about. He came to a performance and a couple of practices, but he has a crab that struggling, and he's leaving dude out to dry. You can't just be "cold" for yourself. That's selfish and trifling.
Thats the story of the Austin Tuba Section last year. Leader refused to help anybody and everybody quit cept for one person. Then the leader graduated.
Also I got another story. Two days ago and freshman trombone player comes to practice. This kid played the Bb flat scale and got up in the middle of practice and said "Sorry I dont want to do band anymore. I want to go to the store" and left. OMG I have never seen such trifulness........

Its not geared towards one particular person but rather in general. They even have the nerve to use bandhead too.
