The Spartan "Legion" of Norfolk State University is seeking serious musicians to be apart of the 2011-2012 Music Program.
We offer Scholarships in Woodwinds, Brass, Percussion, and Auxiliary.

I am originally a SWAC guy, but after spending about 5 years living in the Norfolk area (2000-04, 2007), Norfolk State's band has become my absolute favorite. Usually, I would recommend prospective students to go to the school offering the most money. However, if you are specifically looking for a great music program, NSU gets my vote.

Best advice to you is to come to the High School summer band camp this summer and the summer following your senior year. its a good way to get close to the directors and show em what you made of. Really the camp can be like a week long audition. I went and it gives you insight as to "the legion" way! but yea keep updated on the Camp and come to that.
