    Camps not till June but you will learn a typical drill show and spirit songs that we the Legion play. You will stay on campus. You will eat on campus. You will get a strong idea or taste of what it's like to be in the Spartan Legion Band on the illustrious campus of NSU.

    Correct me if I am wrong but I am assuming that you are a member of the legion if you dont mind me asking!?!?!  Is there anything specific I should do to prepare myself for the band camp like know any specific scales or anything like that I know that maybe a dumb question I just really want to be prepared

    A true musician is always looking for way to improve one's own musicianship. So by all means, if NSU summer camps amps you to practice learn those fundamentals, then let it! It wont hurt you to know the aforementioned but is not a requirement to attend our summer out-reach camp. And yes, I am a member of the Spartan Legion Band. My advice to you alongside what you mentioned, get your physical stamina up. Summers in Virginia our BRUTAL and NSU drills can be brutal!!

    I live in Virginia so I defiantly know these summers but it goes down to I have always wanted to be in the HBCU marching band and now that I have opportunity to actually experience a peace of it is great to me. And I know its not a requirement but I serious want to experience it. I was merely asking cause I want be prepared and I was. kind of asking for things that would make me ready to play "Spartan Legion style" like is there anything that really need to study or get better at. And I also play the trumpet
