I agree . i also think setting is a factor as well. if this was at say an more serious event people would have loved TnSU's first selection but look at Southern's first selection like "these some ignorant !&%@# people", not to say TnSu didnt play with power.

Some people's personal preference isn't from a musical standpoint either, many form their opinions off volume: an ignorant way to assess bands. It's to many fake individuals on this site, the say one thing when someone gives an opinion towards their favorite band but does a 180 when you don't value their opinion.
TnSU is one of, if not, the most musically sound HBCU band out there....the fact that they don't play with "SWAC Intensity" allows them to be overlooked by most of the newer generation of the HBCU band world.....I personally like their style because of the variety they bring. Now although their rap tunes have a weird arrangement to them compared to what i am accustomed, i still enjoy listening to them. They might not be a top favorite, but they definitely get my respect

Predictable??? As in you know what we're gonna play? NEVER. We're the most unpredictable band you know, especially in a 5th. TN State might play anything.Always have. So I guess you knew before hand we would play Manzoni in Baton Rouge...LOL

Exactly. Every now and then I'll say SU isn't clean...until I hear other bands who try to mimic their style, but can't quite match it. They make me appreciate appreciate how clean SU usually is while playing with their aggressive style. No other band can put out as much volume with a cleaner tone than SU. PERIOD.
