One step forward....8 steps back. Even though we are doing this to ourselves, it doesn't help that the media only seems to be around to report the NEGATIVE stuff that happens....
Last week we shut out Mississippi Valley at homecoming with one of the largest crowds PVU has seen in a long time. That same night somebody gets stabbed or shot. The news media came down to PV to do a report on...no...NOT the football team's success....but the violent incident that took place that night.
Sad to hear..... much respect to his family and love ones..... but when I heard it on the news, I couldn't conclude this was hazing.......but if was or wasn't .....just came at a bad time for PVAMU....especially with the football teams success.......keep moving foward PVAMU!!!!!
I think the administration took the right steps in discontinuing ALL intake processes until things get sorted out. Everyone knows that that crap is illegal, yet, some of us still do it. So if one org gets caught, then ALL should have to share the consequences. Maybe this will discourage hazing across the board.
It's sad to see a mother and father grieve over the loss of their child, because of some letters....some STINKING letters!!!!!! It ain't worth it people! Sad to say...but we are the most prejudiced people against ourselves. It really makes me sick!

Guys this case was different. In this case so far, there has been no evidence of hazing. Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. has a fitness program approved by the Fraternity which is worldwide. All members must go through a process of changing their diet as well as physical activity to insure that they are physically fit.
Right now, the investigation is underway and Phi Beta Sigma has suspended all intake processes in the entire Gulf Coast Region until this matter is resolved. Guys please keep his family as well as the fraternity in your prayers because it was very unfortunate and rough. This situation is hard to pick sides as of yet because the facts havent been released. All that is known was that he collapsed during physical training and passed away.
As a member of Phi Beta Sigma, its hard to see such a tragedy happen to the family as well as the fraternity. My condolensces go out to both.
I sincerely pray that this just turns out to be pre-emptive speculation...

Thats all they do is report the negative when it comes to HBCU's oh and they like for us to entertain them. I doubt or am at least hopeful this had nothing to do with greekdome. Im so sick of the bad press we get yet the white ones get little to know media mention. Either way this is a tragedy my best to PV and this young mans family and friends.
