I dont know if you feel the same way I do but I must discuss this.If your band is that good, why do some people have to brag on how good they are? Most of the EXCELLENT Band programs dont have to brag, they let their reputations talk for them. There is nothing wrong with being proud and being confident about your programs. However sometime, people get the big head and have to run their mouths.I never see comments from:Southwest DekalbWorthingSt. AugFlorida A&MNorfolkYet they are the best. But people who have bands without name recognition or Merit try to brag and boast about "Man we beasted on them" or tell another program that they suck. WTF is up with that? Most people who have to brag about themselves or their program are really insecure and lack attention or confidence. If your band is the best, SHUT UP and let the audience and spectators decide. If your band is that good, your reputation will brag for you. This isnt Wrestling or debate team.God rewards those who are humble.

I completely agree. I always preach to students "always remain humble, there is always room for improvement" If a person is a beast on their horn and then they say "aw man, i still need to work on it". any individual will respect that person more as opposed to a person who thinks theyre the best and always brag.
Think about it like this:
If you have time to talk, that means you dont have a horn to your mouth to practice.
If you got enough energy in your hands talk internet smack, that means you dont have sticks/mallets in your hands brushing up your chops.
