  • Just heard this. Many condolences to that man's family and the Prairie View family and the state of Texas as a whole. If there was ONE BD that REALLY did have to work against SO MUCH BS from his administration just to FIELD a program, it was him. He was a VERY good educator, and an AWESOME musician as well. ALOT of people from my neighborhood went to college because of this man and got an OUTSTANDING education! He will be missed.
  • my prayer go out to the whole PV Family and the Marching Storm Family....and they also go out to his family

    RIP. Prof. Edwards
  • One of the greatest man that I have ever met, he left in such a sad way...after the problems he went through with the school this year...he deserves a great recognition for never giving up on the Marching Storm...He took the band to great heights for over 30 years he gave us a name that shows the passion Storm members have for the love of music...wise in his music talent and teaching I can proudly say I learned well from him including the classes I had to the late night practices during marching season! Prairie View A&M University and the Marching Storm mourns the loss of Prof. Edwards...you will always be remembered and we know you are in a better place it was time for you to rest and leave all the problems behind....I want to say that The Marching Storm will dedicate this next 09-10 season to HIM....God Bless...
