Question: If I were to find a small venue like a high school gym, promote a botb, and pay for the buses as needed, is it wrong to make a profit from ticket sales?

See, fundraiser. I inquired about using my old h.s. gym for an event, the bd called me and said the principal was cool with it but her only concern was where the money was going.
Now if I have it on a college campus, for my next one in 2014, I'll be damned if I don't get something back paying for everything.
Having it in a high school gym, one band doesn't need buses since its at their school so I'm going to give them tickets to see and it goes to them. The visiting band will get tickets to cover for their buses. I have to pay for security so I'm looking at as I get the money off at the door sales.

If you are taking care of all the expenses, I don't see why it would be a big deal. It is a good fundraiser for bands.
