Morning all,
This just sparked in my brain. Being that alot of us are doing some recruiting for our respective programs and schools, I want to know what do YOU look for when being recruited? What is it that catches your eye about a band program/institution that you have followed and hope to be a part of OR ones that you've never seen that surprise you?
I know some of us who are in college or alumni try and specify to you what to look for, but from your perspective, what is it that you want when searching for your college of choice?

Things Most Kids Look For :
2. Money
3. Band's Style
4. Intended Major
Appearances by bands always change kids minds. I live in Florida...so as you can guess i've seen FAMU and BCU. When ever they come around or we watch them perform you'll get kids to say " man.... i'm going to that school " Now if a band like, say UAPB wanted to recruit down here without appearing..these kids are going to be like " WTF is a UAPB ? " But appearances cost money. Perform for high school band kids as much as possible is key for bands.
