This is real discussion and it may get ugly..but let's get to the bottom of this...
For years we all have made clips about this event, and for what it's worth..it's something to attend, but let's just be really real..Has this battle been a one-sided battle over the past 5 or 6 years?...Let's talk
A few folks were having this discussion the other day about the SU vs JSU Boombox, and someone asked when was the last real good battle between the two? We went as far back to 2006, maybe 2007 where there was actually an even battle...
These past last 8 or so years, SU has ran through them or the battle wasn't up to par, (boring in a sense)
We have seen better battles/bands put up a better fight than what JSU has done over the past 5-6 years
The SU vs TXSU battle in 2011, (I still go back and watch that battle)
The SU vs Talladega (Mardi Gras 2014)
We've seen other battles/bands put up more a fight than what JSU has been doing..
Let's face it, last year, they just showed up..it became a one-sided battle very quickly, and I was very disappointed..
With all this being said, JSU hasn't really brought anything to this battle other than showing up and somewhat skating off their name..to me..if you don't wanna swallow this..let's do it like this..
2014 -JSU didn't put up a fight (if you don't believe me..name 2 or 3 songs from both nights that was seeing anything SU played on either night
2013 - (in A.W.) They didn't play a song dayum near the whole game, and their 5th quarter (again name a song that was seeing anything SU played) didn't amount out to nothing and we all know Holy Grail did it's thing.
2012- (SU destroyed the zero quarter, and the 5th quarter was a blurr, The 5th was a yarn fest, but again JSU didn't play anything that stuck out that night)
2011- (A.W) nothing stood out from JSU, name anything that was seeing "Something in my heart" played
by SU, and again, this was one of those not so up to par years
2010 - (Power year), it was an ok year...this is the only time that JSU somewhat showed up
2009 - (SU really really embarrassed them that year)
2008 - (don't really remember, nothing stood out)
2007 - (To me, was the last year, that I can say, that I went back and actually listen to some of JSU tunes from that night
2006 - (This was a good battle)
2005 - (JSU put up a fight, but SU was just too much that night)
So is it that JSU is somewhat living off their name, becuz, they haven't really (to me) put up any kind of fight since 2010 or so..
Help me understand
Talladega seems to be the new band battle that everyone wants to somewhat see now...IF things turn out good this year against SU, will this be the new battle that everyone will want to see?

I see you're trying your hardest to stray away from what's being asked...All I'm asking is when was the last time JSU put up a good battle/fight against SU?
Dega did their thing to get the ppl talking when they went against SU (2),
JSU hasn't done anything since 2010 to say, man JSU got SU or so forth...
It's not about SU ppl admitting anything, There are other ppl beside SU that view these battles, even the outside band world (folks who are not from either school) was disappointed in yall performance last year, frankly the past 4 or 5 years. So how is it just SU not admitting to being defeated in a battle against JSU doing any justice, when those years I've explained, JSU hasn't done nothing in those battles to make SU ppl admit the L, plus there are others in the band world that have said SU took the W in these battles. JSU looked as they didn't come ready to battle. This statement has been said more than once folk

Can you really pull out a year from 2010-2015 SU vs JSU that was better than the past 2 battles between SU vs Dega?
I'm just stating what some are starting to observe...especially when they just got replaced by dega...
The last 2 battles between SU vs dega have been better and somewhat evenly matched then the last 6 or 7 battles between SU vs JSU...SU just punished JSU and I guess by JSU thinking they can just show up and stand on their name, that's why folks are still hanging and putting this as the number one battle, (which still is) but it seems to me SU is the only ones carrying this battle...
Ok that's good, nothing wrong with that.
But again I'm just speaking the truth, these past 5 or 6 battles haven't been up to par
How did you like the battle in 2013 in A.W. did JSU bring it that night?
What about 2014, did JSU bring it that night. if so, what song or songs stole the night?
