How many students in highschool say or have on your status that you LOVE music or music is your Life. But you never practice. Or don't play unless the band Director has practice? I guess none of you will answer this truthfully but I will see. Band Directors you can answer for them also.

i do practice and truly love music. everyone that knows me or who I've been around can tell you that i love music and i love playing my instrument. hell, ask the security at my school. they have to kick me out of the band room when we don't have practice because i will stay and practice. My motivation is that i cant go to school out of state unless I get a scholarship, and i live in GA. how many good collegiate bands are there here?
you can tell when someone loves MUSIC and when someone loves MARCHING...the ones that never practice usually fall in the catagory of loving marching. they love it, but they dont wanna work with the band or directors, dont wanna do any physical work but the want to go to the trips
Music lovers are people who will do anything to play a horn 24/7!! I am a music lover because if i aint on my tenor...im on alto or soprano sax at home. always working on scales and cords. for alto im always working on jazz stuff. when im on tenor, im working on my concert and marching music since gigs come n go for both. and for doing more than marching, i experience more as a student and as a musician.
i practice everyday i look at it like dis im in school 6 hrs den have band practice den i come home an practice another 2 hrs i love music because its some thing that will always be diverse an can go in may directions some kids now or just doing music just because they have 2 an give no effort an is why alot of programs lose dere credibililty as far as reputation an quality

This dude wants to learn everything about trombone and practices constantly just for the love of the horn. I enjoy picking up a horn and sitting next to him.
Omar-tuba
begginning 9th grader who switched from alternate bass drum. Comes in the bandhall religiously during lunchtime EVERY DAY and just works on tone. I see a bright future in him.
The rest of you guys need to get with the program.
I for one practice all of the time...I get in 30 mins in the bandroom before school starts most days and whenever we have a break from school or something I bring my Euphonium home and practice....plus I have band every other day on my schedule so I practice during then and After school practices...I most Certainly Love Music.
