  • They had to come down to SWAC country to see what real "SHOW STYLE" marching is about!! lol, that was cheesy, my bad...
  • It's good to see hbcu bands getting positive publicity
  • did u really have to go and start a topic about pv for real.we don't care that u guys were featured nowhere.this is nothing new for us.things like this are all apart of being in the "S"

Well New York Times had already done a story on a SWAC band and that was Prairie View A&M University (Marching Storm)......PV was the first to be featured on there in 07 and here is the proof...SU will be the second...

  • Congrats Human Jukebox!

I'm looking forward to reading and seeing the finished product.

As for the whole "PV did it first" deal, that's cool and all. As an alum, I am proud as hell of my band. But what's important is that our HBCU bands (especially our SWAC bands) get viewed and exposed in a positive light, to offset all of this negetive press that we, as a conference, have received. It was a good look for the SWAC when PV got their story done, and I expect nothing less when SU gets their story done.

Doesn't matter who did what first, when, where, or why...cause in the end, WE ALL WIN AND LOOK GOOD. Ain't no need for bickering...not over this.
  • great post. only if other bands would have that same mentality.

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The three biggest stories to come out of the SWAC(for the bands) the past few years have been tragedy or negativity.......i.e. The death of the PV band director and the two hazing incidents at JSU and SU!!! I'm a fan of the BOOM but Big Ups to the Box! See you at the Vet fall 2010 God willing.
