I was at the game and Su Won. J-state Tuba played before the song man in the mirror even started. Under Pressure someone played the choke at the end. Small things messed. J-state Up. All the together it seemed like in the 5th quarter it sounded like J-state was playing full. I would also say Southern trumpets made a BIG improvement this game. Even when Southern played lets stay together all J-state fans were sitting there singing it. So no doubt Southern won.

I agree totally....This was the worst battle I have ever seen!! Both bands to me were Boring in the 5th. I was expecting way more from Southern and JSU but I did not get it. I am mad I flew out here for this shyt, What was with the Gangster B battle?? I was like common are u serious, Southern was lame for even playing it back (when they lost the game) so the go home chant was pointless, and Da Boom was even more lame for continuing to go back and forth with them. I dont know I just didnt get it!

SU royally fugged up Black and Blues.... after the song bandmembers looked like they wanted to fight each other in the stands....... also trumpet section fugged up during a fanfare... the section leader got pissed and just made them sit down. as far as the rest of the game.. SU just did more for me than JSU....BOTH field shows were "homecoming" field shows... not a Boombox Classic field shows.... that whole fake SU drum major was lame as hell....sectional battles were pretty good... 5th was kind of boring too.... Overall this was the worst Boombox Classic I been to in the last 4 years.
