Sprite Battle of the Bands

All eyes will be on the marching bands from six historically black colleges and universities as theytake the field to perform at the first annual Sprite QueenCity Battle of the Bands.

 

The invitational showcase will be held inCharlotte’s Memorial Stadium, 310 N. Kings Dr., on August28, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m.  The inaugural event will featurethe bands from Florida A&M University, Johnson C. SmithUniversity, North Carolina A&T State University, NorthCarolina Central University, Shaw University and SouthCarolina  State University.

 

Bragging rights and scholarship money will beon the line as the talented band members display theirschool’s dynamic music programs during show-stoppingperformances.

 

Tickets for the Sprite Queen City Battle ofthe Bands can be purchased for $15 in advance atwww.ez-tixx.com and for $20 the day of the event at thestadium box office.

    when will they do a swac vs meac battle of the bands instead of the same style marching bands event
