On Monday, March 14, 2011 the Stephen F. Austin high School Band was sent as an ambassador to participate in an Education Rally.  The entire state of Texas is facing a huge budget deficit and the governor wants to cut 23% from Education which entales significant cuts in : Special Education, Fine Arts, Athletics and Early Childhood Education.

After Monday's rally, Governor Rick Perry agreed to put $3 billion into Education from the state's Rainy Day fund. The video isnt great but the band did well performing in front of over 5000 teachers, parents and school administrators.
