SU Dancing Dolls-Lemonade

Okay so I'm sure yall know or already knew that KP, Alyx, Danielle, and Jaqueline were a part of Bey's latest project. BUT

Does anyone know any inside information as to HOW they got picked? Why the other squad members could not be in it? Did they choose to not be in it? Was there an audition? When was it? Who handled the audition? Or was this just networking? Were they handpicked?

Cuz I KNOW...I wouldve been MAD AS HELL had I got skipped over and on the squad.

  • Maybe the other girls didn't want to be in it or mayyyyybeeeee the other girls school schedule was to busy or maybeeeeee they don't like Beyonce hell who knows and who cares!!
  • The girls have stated they heard about an audition back in December and they audition like dancers do. Its great they have something to put on their dance resume.

  • According to some folks, they book their own gigs. (sarcasm)
But, really, you never know who contacts them or how they are contacted.
These folks could have contacted SU band dept to get information on her.
Opportunity finds those who stand out, Even when you're working for it.
Obviously some of the girls want to continue dancing professionally,
being part of such things is great for them.

  • Girls, to my knowledge, did not audition. Band director was contacted by Beyonce's team and asked to select a certain number of Dancers. Haymer selected 2  of the leading vets and 2 crabs, which are ALL from south Louisiana.

Girls previously worked with Beyonce in Formation video, which was shot in Louisiana. Same girls selected were contracted to be apart of the Documentary, which most of it was also shot in Louisiana.

One of Beyonce's main choreographers, JaQuel Knight, is well aware of the Dancing Dolls and black college dance teams in the south, in general. He was the same one who brought the J-Setting to Single Ladies.
