(Jan. 7) - Florida A&M University announced its 2009 football schedule on Wednesday, a lineup which features four home contests and a midseason clash with the University of Miami.Florida A&M, which finished the 2008 season 9-3 and tied for second in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference at 5-3 under first-year head coach Joe Taylor, will open the season at home for the second straight year, September 5 against Delaware State.The Rattlers will also have home games against Howard University on September 19, Norfolk (Va.) State on October 24 and North Carolina A&T on November 7.FAMU has yet to designate a Homecoming date, as they await the release of the Florida State home schedule, with hopes of avoiding conflicts for their October and November home weekends.Highlighting their traditional seven-game road schedule will be an October 10 jaunt to Miami's Pro Player Stadium to take on the University of Miami.FAMU will open their road schedule on September 12 at Winston-Salem (N.C.) State, then return to the road on September 26 in Atlanta against Tennessee State in the Atlanta Football Classic.After an open date on October 3, FAMU will take on Miami (October 10) and defending Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champion South Carolina State (October 17) in back-to-back road tilts.The Rattlers' final three games will be at Morgan State (Oct. 31) in Baltimore, Maryland; at Hampton (Va.)   • As of now, there will be no SU vs. FAMU showdown. However, it does appear that Southern will still play Tennessee State next season.
